I got to play in a demo of this at DragonCon, and was instantly hooked.
Basically, it is described as a character-based war game. Each pilot has to be generated on their stats, though there are no other features describing them. It reminds me quite a bit of the beginning times of Car Wars... The setting is the 1930s, and America is factionalized into a number of other countries. Due to this, air traffic is used in a great amount, and battles are constantly fought between militias, pilots, guards, and the such. The play is very interesting. Movement is simultaneous, and determined by picking your manuver on a chart based on your G-ratings and speed. Skill checks use D10s; when hit, damage is based on templates overlaid on crosssections on the hurt part, much like the old Renegade Legion system. It was fast and easy for me to learn the system. I might have gotten my butt kicked but it was well worth it.
Style: 5 (Excellent!)
