FUDGE lists several ways to create its -4 to +4 spread using dice, including making your own FUDGE dice. But I'm a shiftless layabout who tried and didn't like the alternate methods, so I went ahead and ordered the genuine article through my local retailer.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got them. The dice are about the same size as the six-siders found in a typical board game. That's where the similarity ends. They're a uniform ivory color with the markings etched in black. The marks themselves are nice and large, making them very easy to read and interpret quickly. The corners and edges of the dice are rounded, so they won't chip or fracture as easily. The faces themselves are slightly concave, giving the markings longer life. And they feel just about perfect. The dice come in a little Ziploc-type bag barely large enough to fit them. The front sticker is the product label, and on the back is a sticker detailing uses for the dice in several situations. It's an abbreviated version of information available at Grey Ghost's website, done in really tiny print. It's worth saving the Ziploc for, but put the dice in your own bag. The GM's pack contains 20 dice, enough for one GM and four players. FUDGE Dice are also available in four-packs for $2.25. Either way, I recommend these dice for any FUDGE player or GM. They're far less useful outside that game.
Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
