The Inside Scoop on Gaming

Gurps, hmmm..sounds like some kind of kids cereal. But this infamous "generic" system has outlived some single-genre based rpgs, and has over 150 world books...including Gurps:vampire the masquerade...and Gurps:werewolf the apocolpyse! Not to metion classics like Bunnies and Burrows, Discworld, and and many,many more. I've been hesitant to drop $20 on "generic" system though, so steve jackson REALLY has outdone himself by releasing this "core" rules set, FOR FREE. By reading this "book" you can get a basic idea of what to expect from gurps. While it lacks some creativity, only 4 attributes, it more than compinsates with it's advantage-disadvantage system. But how much can you complain, it was free!!! The "book's" layout is well put together, a little on the cluttered side, but still readable. And it's in a PDF format, so it takes a while to print but is way worth it, because of the multi-colored text, and rather pretty pictures. Soooooo, is this worth taking 5 minutes to download? Of course it is!!!!! Gurps is really a great system, not to complacated yet retaining it's ability to adapt to rapid world changes, and damn fun!!! And after reading this i've already bought 5 gurps books!!!! [ohhhh steve jackson's trechory boggels the mind:)lol]] So what are you waiting for?
