This is the best GT book since Alien Races 1, and as a bonus it blows the doors off of Alternity's poor cousin of a scout supplement for their Star Drive universe. GT is starting to come into its own, and depite all of the errata it is heartening to see such a large amount of campaign material being produced for this line.
Previous GT books have covered conquering worlds, selling to worlds, and now we learn about finding worlds. This book includes a lot of fine material on the Imperial Scout Service, but at the heart of the book lies an extraordinary new system for creating solar systems, worlds, and even societies...I suspect that this rule set will reappear in the revision of GURPS Space. Over half of the book revolves around this new system, and this is space well used. Various sidebars and background material exists within the book itself on how to integrate this system into an ongoing Scout campaign. The look of the book is magnificent (I love those computer generated ships!), and the words match the pictures. I give this book an "A." Combined with the material in Far Trader you have some truly stunning campaign generation material.
Style: 5 (Excellent!)
