This is another of Steve Jackson Game's essential books for GURPS that has been out of print for far too long. This book covers a very broad range of creatures in myth and literature from around our world. For its sheer comprehensiveness it deserves kudos, though the book just looks a bit bland. My guess is that only so much could be done to improve the book graphically because it is so packed with creature information.

Personally, I didn't do backflips when I got this book, but I am well-satisfied with it. For any GM of a GURPS Fantasy campaign this book is essential. It gets an "A."
