I was at a convention in Houston, and Steve Jackson was there. Funny thing is I expected him to be ten feet tall. Anyone who beats the secret service should be ten feet tall! Now I was told by the people who knew him not to mention Hot Lead, but it seemed to me that a whole lot of people were bothering him about Cardboard Heroes. Some guy who still lived in his parent's basement would ask again and again about these figures, and Steve would patiently thank him for his interest, and then explain how he would lose money if he ever printed them again. I don't know if he's losing money on these cardboard heroes, but I'm certainly glad that he's producing them again!

This is a stunning reprint of the entire line of all of the original fantasy cardboard heroes. They come on 16 spiral bound pages, and oh they look wonderful! Giants, ogres, orcs, undead, adventurers, dragons, and giants...oh my! Adventure ideas just ooze off of the pages here! My only gripe...scoring along the fold lines is going to be hell...but they sure look nice. This gets an "A." I'm glad that Steve found an economical way to put these out again...weren't there some wonderful Traveller cardboard heroes as well?
