Abduction is a rip-roaring card/board game where each player is an alien abductee who seeks to escape from captivity.

The game includes a 72 card deck, 8 character tokens and a set of instructions. As each player takes their turn, they can lay down cards as part of the alien ship, search for alien artifacts, or use events to their advantage, or the disadvantage of their opponents.

Abduction is very tongue in cheek. Some of the cards, such as breeding room, where humans and cows seek higher levels of ecstasy, are really hilarious on close examination.

Play is very simple. When you're the active player, you draw your hand up to five, lay down your sections, search for stuff, or take an action. Every player on the table can then play an event, resolved FIFO. Repeat twice more. Proceed to the left.

The art ranges from so so (Anal Probe) to very impressive (the artifacts and locations). And the characters are very nice, ranging from a little girl to Agent Mulder to a Zulu tribesman to a cow (moo). I usually play the cow.

My sole quibble with the game: How DOES a cow carry a rail gun? (Answer: Very carefully, ba.dum.CHING!)

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
Substance: 4 (Meaty)
