MERP 2nd ed. is, in my mind, a very good RPG. It is as close to the
books as possible, and I think Tolkien himself would be proud. What
could turn some gamers of it though, are the many tables and AD&D-ish
spells. This may not be a problem for some of you, but be sure to
take a look at the game before you by a copy.
Also, another plus is that the system is a slightly tweaked version of Rolemaster, ICE's most known RPG. This means that it is easily expandable with Rolemaster, and characters can easily be transfered between the systems. I would recomend this to fans of the book, and anyone who likes the Rolemaster system, but I'd sit in on a few games before I bought it if I didn't fit into either of those catagories.
Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
