Law Dogs is one of the more mundane oriented supplements for Deadlands. It deals with duels, being a law dog (hence, the title), outlaws, and weapons.

The first section covers law dogs, new edges and hindrances, outlaws, and has a complete list of weapons for Deadlands. Most of it is told from the point of view of a Texas Ranger, so there is a bias to it. After a rundown on the more famous law dogs and outlaws, there are more archetypes and modifications that a gunslinger can do to his gun.

No Man's Land features additional relics, as well as rules for hexslinging - hucksters who channel their powers through their guns. The rules are slightly unclear, however, on how much their focused - can they use any gun, or only their own?

Finally, the book ends with a Marshal's section. This starts with the backgrounds behind some of the law dogs and outlaws, as well as an adventure involving outlaws and hidden gold.

Law Dogs is one supplement that handles more characters on an individual basis then perhaps any other one. It's definitely worth the $20 price tag.

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
Substance: 4 (Meaty)
