If you have ever played Waterworks, then you've played something similar to this game. In the basic game you are matching up pipes of a particular color, and trying to get them capped off, or connected so that you have a completely sealed system. Then you can take those cards off the table for points. That's the basic game.In the next version you are trying to enclose fields of one color by surrounding it with fields of another color. The next version uses both pipes and fields, and this is where the game really takes off as a multi-player game. The next version involves team play. Finally you get to actual deck tuning and playing for keeps.

I do not know how they did this, but they have created a very compelling game here that is a blast to play. The card stock is nicer than in some of their games, but these cards are small! It wouldn't necessarily be cheap, but if the cards were larger the game would be a little bit easier to play…there's a lot of detail in them thar cards. Anyway…I give this game an "A."

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
Substance: 5 (Excellent!)
