The Conspiracy X Introductory Game Kit is a free introduction into the world of Conspiracy X. It is available by emailing Eden Studios at EdenProd@aol.com and requesting a packet. RPG.Net even had a press release relating to this free intro kit.

The Intro kit is 16 pages long and covers a wide variety of topics. The first few pages cover the background of the Conspiracy X world. The next four pages provide examples of six player characters that were built using the full Conspiracy X rules. One page is also dedicated the previous character's equipment, and their hideout.

The pre-generated characters are all pretty much the standard fare. They show a wide amount of diversity and present an equally wide amount of role-playing possibilities. These characters are complete and ready to play. They are also ready to insert into any regular Conspiracy X campaign, they come complete with their equipment, background and a few lines on the role-playing of these characters.

The next two pages following the pre-made characters has a stripped down version of the rules. Everything from basic tests and research to combat and damage are covered. Granted these are very slimmed down version of the rules, and may not be as easy to assimilate as the full length write-up available in the rulebook.

The last half of the book is an adventure where the players try to stop a UFO enthusiast group from releasing a very damaging photo of humans meeting with aliens. The players will be involved in the usual aspects of investigation (Breaking and Entering, Background Checks, etc.) and will have to deal with this threat to the conspiracy.

All in all the Conspiracy X Introductory Game Kit does a good job of introducing the game, and getting you into the action right away. The last two pages gives a brief description of all Conspiracy X products, page count, cost and a cover shot of each book.

The layout is Eden Studios' usual high quality and the art is also very well done. This kit is an excellent introduction to Conspiracy X. The only downside is that I was hoping that there would have been more information regarding the aliens and their roles, or that the adventure would've included one of the alien races as the antagonist. Then again, it is only 16 pages, and it's free! So, that in itself is good enough.
