Leftovers is the first adventure for Deadlands: Hell on Earth. Fans of the Deadlandseird West setting will recognize the Dime Novel format that Leftovers is in. Half the book is fiction, the rest is pure adventure, baby!

Leftovers takes the posse to the locale of Near Wichita. Seems the townsfolk have been dealing with some trouble with mutants, who in turn have been dealing with some kind of abomination called the Devourer. Can the posse make peace between the townsfolk and the mutants and stop this monster before everyone is the main course?

The fiction in Leftovers is top-notch--Shane Hensley did some good work as usual. We're introduced to a brand new protagonist called Teller, a hero for the Wasted West. Also we get to meet a Doomsayer and a Savage. Fans of the main rulebook will recognize the savage Tasha from one of the examples. Hopefully we'll see more of Tasha and the Doomsayer (named Grissom) in future HoE Dime Novels.

The adventure is a good adventure to kick off the Hell on Earth Dime Novel series. It's not too overwhelming for starting possies, and the rewards are gonna make them come back for more Hell on Earth!

Now for the bad: The Devourer! It's one BAD-a** creature! Definitely NOT something one would want to meet in a dark alley...

In conclusion, Leftovers should be a definite addition to anyone's collection of Deadlands material. The fiction is good, the adventure is good, so pick up Leftovers today!
