  • Softbound, Two colour maps on inside covers.
  • OVERVIEW: This adventure takes place on a remote island (Angler Island) that the party arrives at for one of several reasons that the DM picks.  When the party arrives they are suddenly attacked by what the locals called "Sea Devils". If the party survives the initial attack they are congratulated by the rulers of the city and asked for assistance in a matter concerning some disappearances. After some investigation the party find a collapsed tunnel that was created by an unknown entity. What the party doesn't realize is that they have stumbled upon a excavation site that the Sea Devils are exploring to find an ancient statue of great value to them. The basic goal of the adventure is to explore the site, find the statue and defeat the groups of Sea Devils within the caverns.
  • PROS: Bruce does a great job in keeping the descriptions concise and to the point. Leaving out fluff and generally the stuff the DM should be adding to set the style for his campaign. The core information for rooms, NPCs and items is there with enough hooks to get the players involved. The maps are easy to use and quite simple. The adventure is not entirely underwater giving the PCs some rest between encounters. New information on Sahuagin is included in the module allowing the DM to toss a few new experiences at the PCs. Underwater combat is made simple with the quick rules included. This adventure is easy to read and prepare for. Any DM should love it.
  • CONS: I really could find nothing wrong with this module. Possibly the only problem could stem from players that don't have experience with underwater adventures. Even then there is a local "water wizard" that should be able to offer some assistance.
