The wendigo tribebook is one of the books aimed at detailing the different tribes found in Werewolf: the Apocalypse. Most of these books end with the words "if you play a (fill in apporpiate tribe here), get this book".
I won't say that, because I don't think you should. The book starts with the history of the Wendigo and the other american tribes (Uktena and Croatan). And while some of the stories are an interesting read (for instance how the Croatan died out), most are rather dull and does nothing to enhance the feeling of the tribe. To make things even worse, the style of writing is not as good as it should be. The next section is more rites and gifts that the wendigo can use. These are not to spectacular, and for some reason or another they have decided to describe these in first person, like someone is telling you from a personal perspective of the gift. While this twist can be good when used well (as seen in the Werewolf storytellers guide), it's devastating when not. The one thing I liked about the book, was the different example characters in the end of the book, these are original and well thought-out. Even though I won't use them they are a good inspiration of what you can if you just stretch the concepts ever so slightly. To bad the rest of the book isn't as inspirational.
