Nemesis is the first supplement for NME's Conspiracy X RPG. It details the Greys, the first of three alien races in the game. For its size, Nemesis contains a great deal of information. The background and history of the Grey race is summarised, and the book then delves into their culture, mentality and reasons for operating on earth. Also contained are extensive sections on their formidable psychic powers, technology and human connections, all of which give the Greys their unique feel. One of the best things about Nemesis is that instead of making the Greys the typical two-dimensional bad-guy aliens, they are presented as a fully fleshed-out society with its own aims and problems. On the down side, there is some information that was omitted which might have been useful such as the addition of information on specific Grey operations. Also, the published adventure that is included is of a far inferior quality to the rest of the book. These problems are only minor and do not prevent Nemesis from being a very well-written, well presented and valuable supplement for Conspiracy X. For GM's who want to add the enigmatic Greys to their campaign, this book is a must.
