They are here? Alien are among us. They have technology, that is as advanced, as your worst night mare. If they have such technology, then why haven't they enslaved us? Who says that they haven't? Hasn't history shown us, that the human race, will revolt against any oppressive rules, eventually?
In ages past, the Atlanteans, conquered earth. Ancient man found a way to throw off the shackles of slavery, and defeat the Atlanteans. How can a primitive people defeat such advanced technology? By the use of magic. But the Atlanteans could not be stopped so easily. They posed as gods, and ruled the humans once more. But a power struggle, among the Atlanteans, puts an end to their god status. The few remaining Atlanteans, now keep their presence secret, and pursue their personal goals. The Atlantean technology, is based on computers the size of molecules. The technology is called nanotechnology. Atlanteans have nanites, in their bodies, to increase their abilities, and heal themselves. Assemblers and seeds, can convert matter, into other objects, by breaking down the material, and then reconstructing it into a specific design. Small items can be made in seconds. Large vehicles or buildings can take hours. Atlantis Rising offers a complete time line, of the Atlantean history, going back to their home planet. Several Atlanteans are given, as examples, which lists their personalities, and goals. A complete list of nanites are provided and many possible items are given, that can be made by seed or assembler. The artwork is b&w, and is all right, but not great. An adventure is provided in the back of the book. The adventure is very much controlled by the timing of events. This gives the adventure the freedom to follow any course the players choose. I give this adventure a good rating.
Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
