One day browsing, I came across an interesting system being used in an Alien online conversion.

The game looked good, and was free, but said it required Fuzion rules from R. Talsorian, the guys who made CP2020. I remember that being a fun if not violent game and decided to check out the rules. Besides the guy who created the Alien conversion endorsed it by saying it was the best system out right now. Okay, thats nice, I thought.

I went to Fuzion Page. I searched through it for the Fuzion Rules finding them. It then told me I had to get something called the PDF viewer from the Adobe homepage.

Okay easy enough. There I went, in a couple minutes found it, download in less then ten minutes.

Now I downloaded the Fuzion core rules. Also very quick.

As I went to read them I found out Fuzion is a "metagenre" system, not a multigenre. Which it explained as meaning it is flexible enough to bring in elements from different settings, such as sci-fi and fantasy, etc.

Hhmmm, I thought this sounds intersting. Okay I'll make a character It was actually kinda fun rolling the lifepath giving you the bones of your character well all you have to do is flesh it out. And of course you use character points, a different amount used depending on the realism you want in your campaign.

There's a fair amount of skills, but I added alot of my own skills and such. Skills are resovled Characteristic+skill+die roll(D10, or 3d6, personally I prefer the Interlock D10 option.) Vs the defenders DV or difficulty value with Stat+skill+die roll(or just 10 if using 3D6). If meet or beat it you succeed.

The combat system is relatively simple, but not too simple. It has two options for this. One thats pretty complicated, or a simple but sensible one. Characters have "Hits" for damage that can kill you, and "stun" for being knocked out and brawls and such. Damage is done using d6s(it's a d6 system)or damage class DC. I changed this to use have half damage classes too though, but the system works well.

The hit locations are pretty realistic, and trust its easy to die in this game using it, but I like it.

It also comes with a powers, psionics, mekton-Zeta, and martial arts (which you are free to make up as much more as you want) The powers help you make superheroes or mages. Psionics, psionists, mekton, fighters, mechs, etc, and martial arts, martial art.

How the game runs is great! I've played modern day spy campaigns, Aliens:Fuzion, and thinking of trying an Indiana Jones campaign with. Also can't wait to get 3rd edition CP with Fuzion.

It may seem alittle like Alternity, but when I only spent maybe a toonie or 5 bucks on paper and ink, where as Alternity main books would cost 70-80 bucks CDN together, I'm quite happy!
