Talent Law is another book for the new edition of Rolemaster. Unlike the first three, or Gamemaster Law, thi is completely optional. There is no implication of it being used more often than not, which is often the case with the many Companion books, so you're safe in tossing it aside.
The book is a plug-in that grants the Rolemaster GM a ready-made Merit/Flaw system. It works, but the usual warnings apply: it can be broken and exploited, so GM oversight is neccessary. However, the abilities within are appropriate to the majority of fantasy worlds and they are easily adaptable to your specific tastes. Should you get a copy? This book isn't that high on the priority list, but it's still worth having.
