First off, I must say that I'm a huge fan of Games Workshop. I don't have everything they've ever put out, but I'm not far off. That said, this pamphlet masquerading as a book is yet another strike against Games Workshop. I can't help but feel blatantly and deliberately ripped off after having gone through this "book". The army list has a very few changes made to it from the list in the main rule book, and still relies on the main book for some point values. I also figured there'd be lists, or at least special rules, for the more famous Marine chapters, but I should have followed GW logic: Why stick specialized info in one book if we can drag it out into many more? There's also a distinct lack of any ficition of a decent length, although a story of a page or three can hardly be expected in a "book" of 48 pages total.

On the plus side, minimal as it is, the art is still up to par. Although there is nothing from Mark Gibbons or John Blanche, my personal favorites, the art keeps with the general theme of the world and is, for the most part, suitably epic in feel.

Save your money with this list. Just use the one out of the main book & you'll be missing nothing substantial. This is a perfect example of the declining quantity and increasing price that has been the M.O. of GW for longer than I'd like to admit.

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
Substance: 1 (I Wasted My Money)
