Western Empire is a new worldbook for Palladium's fantasy system. It's the first book by a new freelancer and he has done a great job. The Western Empire is a Human kingdom that is often referred to as the "Empire of Sin." This book covers the varies regional area in detail but not to the point of boxing the GM in.

The regional areas range from ones that have heavy merchant cities to wild frontier ones. This provides the possibility of a wide range of adventures. There is also background material on the culture, government, history and the military of the Western Empire.

The adventures in back should also provide GM with plenty to work. My favorite being the "Hand of Tezun" since it's perfect for a wide ranging campaign that will take the players all over the Palladium fantasy world.

The art in the book varies by artists but I found it all to be of high quality. Though the maps by Steve Edwards is what really caught my eye. I thought they were all some excellent maps aesthetically and in usefulness. The reviewer tip lists says I should say something negative but I cant think of any for this book. If you like the Palladium Fantasy setting then you will want to get this great book.
