Atlas Games PressATLAS GAMES ELECTRONIC PROPAGANDA 10 July, 1998Festival of the Damned Available Now! Festival of the Damned, the most recent publication for Ars Magica Fourth Edition, will ship to distributors on Friday, July 10. It should arrive in better games stores the following week. ========== About Festival of the Damned Atlas Games celebrates its eighth anniversary by revising two classic Ars Magica adventures for the game's 4th edition and re-releasing them under one cover. "The Ghoul of St. Lazare" (by John Nephew) begins with the discovery of a mutilated corpse, evidence of sinister events upriver. It introduces the players to the sleepy village of Vezay, where evil brews amidst ancient lies, heresy, and dark rituals. In "Festival of the Damned" (by Jonathan Tweet), the troupe returns to Vezay, where the forces of Hell have rallied in the desecrated Church of St. Lazare. The magi have been invited to enjoy the pageantry of Easter Week, and to investigate a pouch of magical herbs. Witchcraft is suspected, but that becomes the least of the characters' problems in a week filled with peril and temptation. "Ghoul" originally appeared in Tales of the Dark Ages, the very first Atlas Games release, in the summer of 1990. "Festival" was published as a stand- alone sequel the following year. Both have been widely praised by Ars Magica fans, and have been out of print for about five years. Product Number: AG0257 ISBN: 1-887801-67-7 Length: 104 pages Suggested Retail Price: $17.95 (US) ========== Cults Across America News Cults Across America was demonstrated at Origins '98 in Columbus over the fourth of July weekend to resounding enthusiasm. Several attendees demanded that we accept their pre-orders at the show, even though complete games will not be available until the end of July. Cults Across America is Atlas Games's board game of Cthulhoid Madness. It plays like a cross between Call of Cthulhu, Risk, and Axis and Allies, with a strong does of beer and pretzels. One Origins player reviewed Cults Across America on rpg.net--be sure to check out his comments at http://www.rpg.net/[get the rest of this URL]. For more information on the game itself, check out the Atlas Games web site (address below). Cults Across America will ship to distributors on July 31, and will be available from Atlas Games at GenCon. ========== Atlas Web Site Updated Check out the Atlas Games web pages--they've been updated with a whole bunch of new information.
