The Hordes have Spoken!

The on-line community of RPGnet has made their choices for the first RPG.net Awards! Voting was held on the site from November 19th to 30th. The Secret Cabal (also known as the RPG.net Awards Committee) nominated game books and products in eight categories:

For Image: Most Anticipated Pre-launch of a Game; Most Disturbing/Controversial Game Book; Best Layout in an RPG Book or Magazine; and Most Gratuitous Cover.

For Creation: Best Free RPG; Best New Gaming Software; Most Silly Metaplot in a New Game; and Most Bizarre Setting.

And the Buzzie goes to:

For Most Anticipated Pre-launch of a Game, Lord of the Rings RPG, by Steve Long, from Decipher!

For Most Disturbing/Controversial Game Book, Little Fears by Jason Blair of Key 20 Designs!

For Best Layout in an RPG Book or Magazine, Star Wars by Sean Glenn, art director and graphic designer for Wizards of the Coast!

For Most Gratuitous Cover, Ragnarok: Tales of the Norse Gods by Avalanche Press!

For Best Free RPG, New Risus by S. John Ross!

For Best New Gaming Software, Hero Machine by Jeff Herbert!

For Most Silly Metaplot in a New Game, NinjaBurger by Michael Fiegel and friends of 9th Level Games!

And for Most Bizarre Setting, Big Ears, Small Mouse by John Nowak from Guardians of Order!
