Featured will be a presentation on log analysis by Sandy Antunes.
Sometimes a hit is not a hit-- breaking down raw hits into meaningful
counts of visitors, and then trying to track them through your pages
is a tricky problem. Sandy will discuss good approaches to this, and
demonstrate the methods he chose in writing a 'checklog' analysis tool.
I'm going to use the terms "clients" to refer to the page owners, and
"users" as the people who actually visit the site. This may seem different
from a lot of in-house NASA pages but it works better for the examples
I'll be using.
