Just wondering. I was a big fan of the game when first it came out, and became an even bigger fan of it when the second edition made its way to my hot little hands. This, mind you, from omeone who thought the words "albino fleabag" were way too hilarious, and who won't touch Vampire: The Masqurade with a ten- foo-- no, make that a -- well, I won't touch the damned thing.
What I'm saying is this: it's to bad your intro to Mage had to be through the revised thingie. Bah,and bollocks to it. I'd suggest you hve a spin through the second edition, if you find a copy languishing in your game store or something. I'm not sayig, "Oooooh, go buy it now!!!!" or any such tripe -- just look through it, and see for yourself how ool the whole thing really was before the Bleached Puppy "revised" it and beat it wit the Dumb Stick.
For that matter, look at the 1st edition, which itself wasn't bad. 2nd was classier and more refined, but the inaugural edition was plenty interesting, entertaining and chewy-for-your-brain to get even me excited.
And I'm a picky bastard.
Thanks for the review!
