After I posted this, I found out that there are some corrections that need to be made to my document (thanks to the FUDGE list humans for checking it for me)
Points 1 and 2 are tiny so I'll knowck them out of the way:
1) The Fudge: Deryni thing should say "Katherine" Kurtz, not Kathleen.
2) In the "Why You Should Buy the Expanded Edition of FUDGE" (#3) I wrote "mean" there when I meant "meant".
OK, the big points:
1) On the FUDGE Acronym, from Ann Dupuis (Grey Ghost Games):
"Fudge" doesn't really stand for "Freeform Universal Do-It-Yourself
Gaming Engine" anymore. Or, well, rather, it can for those who want it
to, but Steffan and I now prefer to think of it as just plain old
"Fudge," as in "fudging" things (hence the moving away from all-caps
when we refer to it, and Grey Ghost's emphasis on the "Just Fudge It!"
slogan). The acronym came after the name, and was in "vogue" at the time
I published Fudge in 1994 and 1995....
<note: I'm kinda glad. FUDGE as an acronym is, as we say in Japanese, "chotto kakko-warui">
2) We can't find FUDGE Buffy the Vampire Slayer anymore. Someone noticed it, and we're trying like animals to get ahold of the creator to update that page. First, look for it at http://www.btvsfudge.cjb.net . Then, write the creator, Cory Stanish, at cory@btvsfudge.cjb.net . If you can't get ahold of him, email me directly and I'll email you that 340K .pdf file to you. But please try to get ahold of Cory first. Thanks.
