Actually USR released a five issue mini-series as a follow-up to Macross II, it was a co-publication with Viz and was titled something like "The Micron Conspiracy." There was also the ten issue manga adaptation of the OAVs, also by Viz, which was compiled into a trade paperback.
Of course, these are all out of print now.
