Actually, I don't have GURPS because I'm stupid. I hate it because I'm stupid and unimaginative.
Stupidly, I've found that GURPS rules medium-to-heavy approach doesn't work for games in which I want the systems aspect of the game to fly by quickly and interrupt immersion as little as possible. Unimaginatively, I haven't tried to pound a square peg into a round hole, and have instead used a different game system that's designed to be rules-light.
Unimaginatively, I've decided that GURPS is terrible for heroic-style gaming simply because of its terrifying lethality, and stupidly, I haven't bothered to add on an entire new stun-based damage system or fudge around its lethality.
And, because I'm both stupid and unimaginative, I discovered that its point-based character creation was an invitation to twinkery.
In my abject idiocy and hide-bound cling to tradition, I had thought that GURPS was a good platform for certain genres, mainly those focussing on low-fantasy, high detail grittyness, but that it wasn't the end-all and be-all of roleplaying games. And, finally, I didn't see the need to insult the intelligence or creativity of people who didn't find a use for a multi-genre system.
See how stupid I am?
