Hero = Action2 * Unconventional Thinking ?
Hero = Action2 * (Unconventional Wisdom) ?
What about Hero = Action * Bravery? I mean, "Unconventional" could mean a lot of things, some of them negative.
Isn't bravery what separates the highly skilled and powerful group of PCs setting out to slay a dragon, and a few unskilled peasants trying to do the same thing?
Patroklus - I disagree if you consider his cause to be "taking Troy and getting Helen back" rather than saving his fellow Achaians. And he knew the Trojans would come for him if he wore Achilles' armour? I don't remember reading that they did. He wore Achilles' armour to make the Trojans think that Achilles was back in the battle so they'd run away!
"Give me your armour to wear on my shoulders into the fighting;
so perhaps the Trojans might think I am you, and give way
from their attack, and the fighting sons of the Achaians get wind
again after hard work." (XVI, 40-43)
And Patroklus died not because he was wearing Achilles' armour and was a special Trojan target, so much that he got too cocky and went beyond what he promised Achilles, which was to drive the Trojans away from the ships, and then let the rest take over.
