One thing I neglected to mention in this column regarding start-up hoops -- you may also need a business license. I don't have anything to sell yet, so I've held off on that expense. In fact, my sales are going to be through Gold Rush Games, so I may not need a business license later, either, but I'll have to research that.
You'll want to check into the requirements for business licenses in your state or county and factor that into your start-up costs.
