Here's my concern: A Noble wants to smack another Noble down, teach them a lesson. As it were - let them know "I can hurt you."
Now, he doesn't want to terminally jack up a Noble, sending them that much closer to death.
I'd allow such a Noble to hit the offending target with an Aspect or Domain Miracle, or whathaveyou, and if he scores a Mortal Wound, allow him to downgrade it to a Surface Wound... sort of the duelling scar approach, geared to letting the target know they are outclassed without actually ripping a big chunk of spiritus dei out of them.
Just my thought on the matter.
