GURPS combat rounds arae actually only one second long, not 6 seconds. Plus, the All-out Attack standard action lets people make two attacks.

Even without 'cinematic' rules, a GURPS combat can see fighters making two attacks every second for as long as the fight last.

Where AD&D may not allow enough effective attacks per 'turn', GURPS allows too many for my liking - though it is possible to make two effective sword swings in one second, it doesn't seem possible to me that anyone could continue to do so repeatedly.
