Blunders in combat are way more pervasive and common than is shown by any rpg combat system. You don't have to play at padded-weapons fighting or larping to know this. Stepping on another player's toes, getting in their way happens ALL THE TIME in baseball, volleyball, football, etc.
Personally, I don't find Amber very realistic, because it's very subjective--the only thing that happens is what the players and gm want to happen. But that's me and my sour grapes.
