Have come across of what I think is a LARP event in Norway.

This as they say was set
Our second slice of the world is Europa, an asylum reception centre in Orsinia - a peaceful, wealthy, fictional state somewhere on the Balkans. The Nordic countries are left wrecked and traumatised by the "Nordic conflicts" - a series of wars worse than those that hit former Yugoslavia in the 1990's.
It is an interesting concept to use LARP to make genuine political points, but if it takes such things to make people aware of some issues relating to such atrocities makes me feel uncomfortable.
Also unlike people genuinely in that sort of situation the people involved cannot actually know what its like, they know they can go home, are fed, won't be killed (in real life), can call game stop if anything happens, twisting ankles etc.
Not sure if it’s LARP though it is still Live Action and Role playing. Not sure if I like the idea of such systems, part of me likes the idea of using LARP for political awareness, another part feels making a game out of real life situations is making a mockery of the people. Taken further would a LARP for example based on ‘Auschwitz’ be political useful, or too sick, or as I seem to be thinking both politically useful and too sick.
There is another LARP mentioned called AmeriKA, but the pages are all in Norwegian, the pictures from it makes it look like a demonstration, can anyone who knows Norwegian explain it to me.
