The session seems to have had a very cute and cuddly feel to it... Like in the Wizard of Oz we have the quirky but cute protagonists stumbling their way through an opposition of "nasty baddies" without any real danger (or excitement).
Singelhandedly detroying 12(!) assailants should be an epic fight! Not: "well, they might outnumber you twelve to one... but they're just thugs and you have this mean kutsari-gama thingy and a pointed tail which looks _really_ painful... how could you lose?"
Perhaps it's silly to tell the author that he isn't true to the source material but I had expected more... darkness, grittiness, tension.
