The session you describe has a strong surreal modern fairytale feel to it. Is that your vision for the game (or one of them), or just the way the players and their characters steered it?
Maybe it's just the way you described it. Didn't feel gritty at all - more like The Phantom Tollbooth with fights happening offscreen.
(Can you really have a starting character taking out 12 opponents like that? A lot of players would love it, but where do they go from there? Presumably to taking out 12 *important* opponents...)
