I enjoyed the article. Some of your concepts are vey similar to ideas
from Fred Saberhagen's Empire of the East Trilogy, which was the fore-father of the Book of Swords trilogy and the Books of Lost Swords series. If you haven't read the Empire books, I highly recommend them to any and all fantasy fans. They present an idea of gods and demons that I just don't remember seeing anywhere else. If people want more discussion on this topic I will get into specifics, but I don't want to ruin the surprises for anyone who has not yet read the books.
