Trapped by James Alan Gardner has a world saturated with nanotech. Said devices make sorcery and psionics possible, though not commonplace. Some people happen to end up with nanites in the right parts of their brains, with the right neurological connections and mental capacity, to take advantage of the rest of the nanites. Fun read, if not groundbreaking.
