Why?
Mostly because we all NEEDED to be around friends.
RPGing is more important for being a social activity than
a game, though that is nice too.
The one game I am a player in was a more relaxed town/paperwork
day and session, so it was a relaxed time.
The game I DM was a short battle where we made a 1 hour fight against a cyborg shark and 8 hormagaunts somehow go 3 hours, but it was still fun, and nobody was complaining. (They have been dreading this shark for 2 weeks, when all they could see was its fin. Dragonlance meets Warhammer 40K, and Call of Cthulhu, and some Star Wars. Im an insane DM... Nothing like the damaged ship being brought for repairs in a little island town known as Innsmouth.. hehe..)
It was fun and relaxing, and comforting to be with friends.
