My DC GM/roomate has a bit of a problem with situations he has no control over - something about holes in his stomach lining... anyway, we needed the 2+ hours distraction last Tuesday. It was really good since the session was an "aftermath" - our PCs finally got back to Earth and had to put our lives (secret and public IDs) back in order, we also had effectively 3 new heroes to settle in (well, one was back fromthe dead, another had just undergone a major shift in nature/power concept, and the third was a refugee from our dimensional journey). We were building something out of the chaos and destruction of our team - new headquarters, new style of organizing ourselves, renewed comittment to being heroes.
I ran my D&D game on Friday and my VampireonSunday. Only Vampire was affected, mostly because of amissing player (non-WTC related) and all the tension of the week was being purged with humour (which sucked b/c the session was suspposed to be rather dramatic). I played in a Hunter game (my 2nd session playing my Lucimal-clone - being almost inhumanly alien in my morality was a very big emotional release).
