I ended up starting a new Exalted game pretty much by accident on the tenth. We had the first real session two days ago.
Should I be playing? I don't see why not.
I don't see how not playing RPGs this week is going to help anything. It won't help those people. I donated blood and gave money to the Red Cross. That will help. If it becomes necessary, I will go to war as well. I don't relish the idea and I don't have any illusions about my chances of coming back alive and in one piece. I will probably end up in the infantry and I know what infantry casualty rates are like, especially for a 34 year old. I will go anyway. It's my duty as a citizen of the United States
If not playing RPGs would help the victims or their families, I wouldn't play. If never playing again would bring them back, I would burn all my books right now. It won't.
I am willing to make sacrifices if it will help someone or accomplish something. I am unwilling to give up the company of my friends and the hobby we all enjoy when it will help no one and accomplish nothing.
