This column left me with a feeling like,
"Nice introduction, WHERE'S THE <OBSCENE GERUND> COLUMN?????"
Seriously, I'd very much like to see you continue this idea -- how about some examples, for instance? I freely admit my female characters have all been crashing failures -- either they lapse into absolute gagging clichedom, or after six hours of play, everybody says "Oh yeah, that character's female".
As you rightly point out, that other gender is 99% like your own. How do you bring out the 1% enough to emphasize the difference without falling into utter stereotype, or avoid having the 99% obscure the fact that the gender is different?
Examples, please, examples!
