For Osseum, the Alliance dinner was more of an unveiling dinner than anything else. It was important that everyone knew what the base premise of Osseum is, and that is as a publisher service provider. Some details were given, and then came what we hope for the retailers (and many did come up to us later and talk to us...) was a broader overview of our publishing partners and their featured upcoming release...
Didn't catch that part? What about the unveiling of Green Ronin's 'Pocket Grimoire' series?.. or Auran's 'Dark Awakening: Shadowland' adventure?..
We felt is was important to get the publishers we work with some more press, and not spend too much time on the nitty-gritty of the products. Why? Being last speaker of a two hour dinner tends to mean that folks would like to move on and maybe, oh, hit the slots! We understand that, and well, can't blame ya!
All in all it was very much an honor to be invited to co-sponsor the dinner by Alliance and have a chance to speak with the fine retail and distribution buyers!
