Another great Archetypolgy column! I always look forward to reading a new Archetypology, as I find it one of the best researched columns on cultural and fictional archetypes. The new light it always sheds on the chosen topic is always intriguing.
I note that this column touches briefly on the concept of good and evil and how this relates to current world events, a very timely reminder that good and evil are really just points of view. It struck me recently that those who claim that evil exists as an absolute concept usually support this by saying that certain acts are 'evil' in and of themselves, regardless of context. However, they can never make corresponding claims of certain acts being 'good' regardless of context...
Anyway, keep it up!
P.S. Another revelation thanks to Archetypology: The 'Tannhauser Gate', the mode of FTL travel used in DP9's 'Heavy Gear' universe is a reference to Blade Runner! (Which is itself possibly a Wagnerian reference...)
