The various 1PG games done by Deep7 is perfect for this sort of thing. They're fast, simple and very cheap since they're just PDFs (less than $4 a pop). They also make a really good one similiar to what Sandy was doing called "Buggin'", based off of movies like Antz or Bug's Life.
With that said, I'm also the line developer for the 1PGs so I am biased but I have run these games for kids many times with the same level of success that Sandy had.
ANYTHING to get some new players into our hobby is a GOOD thing!
