Reading the article (well done btw), I get the feeling that this is only half of it. Following your standard form you never get to how to implement this idea within RPGs and in individual plot hooks/seeds. For example - which games (FATAL aside) handle pregnancy to any degree (I would presume the concept is at least mentioned in dynastic rpgs like Pendragon, Ars Magica, etc), how about the notion of birth control in aristocratic fantasy settings (maybe having a child disrupts one's magical abilities - leaving the Sorceress Queen in the situation where her subjects demand a child to secure the royal succession line but to do so would impede Her Majesty's magical development or endanger the kingdom in a time of crisis). Perhaps discussing reproduction in a futuristic setting (like Transhuman space - the notion of "designed babies" versus "God-born" (natural, untampered) births, direct links to Gattica).
To link this to Tribe 8 there was some discussion of how birth and pregnancy and Synthesis interact (is it dangerous for Yagans to use their Death eminence around preganant mothers? Does being pregnant (or just ovulating) give bonuses to using Life synthesis? Etc.
If this was just an oops and the rest of the column shows up after I type this please disregard this post.
