 Heroes and Riddles

Why do heroes have riddles to solve in their quests? Why do women say they want one thing while really wanting something a little different? For similar reasons, I might guess. After all our stories are in many ways just a mirror back to ourselves.

Riddles stretch the mind and force you to comprehend an odd structure, like say the internal workings of the baffling half of the species(Not clear and normal like us. :) ).

Riddles may also force you to exhibit your own internal structures to view and judgement by another. They could be a form of Rorschach test. ("Doctor Helen, I think we have a problem" said the male nurse nervously, "the patient keeps seeing blood splatters in each of the slides.") If you are unable to ascertain the true desire of the woman then you may lack that quality she was hoping to find in you. So when you unknowingly fail, and she to your surprise flips out on you, now you know why, umm maybe. Or maybe, it's another test.

Maybe this will help ya'll RP females, any theory in a storm,
Tadeusz
