 Non-Rigid (And Magical) Armour

Most of the stuff this article talks about seems to refer to rigid plate armour. What about flexible armour types like leather, chain or ring mail?

Also, one of the old standbys for fantasy enchanted armour is that it magically adjusts itself to fit its wearer perfectly. What are people's reactions to the idea that this adjustment might have limits -- for example, instead of "the armour will fit anybody", start making notes of "any human male" or "any elven female" (which might also work for smaller human females as well, but NOT for human males even if they *are* small).

Also, what would happen to a male fighter forced to don female-tailored armour? (Assuming he could actually fit inside a particular suit of it at all, of course.) Would he suffer reductions in armour class or the equivalent stat, or would he take a penalty to dodge rolls because the armour isn't tailored to his movement lines?
