This article really has me thinking about modifiers for gender and body type. Currently I'm playing third edition D&D, which goes out of its way to be totally gender neutral, but which could benefit from this kind of distinction. I can just imagine players who don't normally go for female characters playing female archers and swashbucklers to get an added bonus. Myabe it could also go into body type, not just by gender but in general, and sort of make the choice more than a cosmetic one that many gamers just ignore while selecting feats and such. I'm going to print this out and consider it in further detail.

More importantly though, it's nice to see an article that actually could be used in an rpg, even if I don't use it. This and many other columns have gone into issues in gaming, theories behind gaming, why we play rpgs, the design of rpgs, the ideals of roleplaying, and so on, but rarely do I see something that makes a difference when you actually sit down and play. Unlike some previous "Head of Vecna" articles, this can inspire more than just an argument and really benefit my game. I would be happy to see more of this in the future.
