I completely agree on the use of art cards, I've saved select pieces from all those billions of CCGs that came out so long ago precisely becuase of that. I've also managed to get both of those Everway card sets (actually, all 3 now that I think of it). Great stuff.
I wish that the Everway cards have been printed on shuffle-able cardstock though, because the whole "coming up with a random plot" would have been made a lot easier.
Personally, however, I use art cards more commonly for direct inspiration. I use them for illustration of bizarre locations and creatures. Magic cards are great for pictures of fantasy beasties.
People who also just like to look at art should check out the Heresy and Dark Age CCGs. Dark Age is pretty much all Brom, but if you like Brom, it's great. Heresy has lots of great digital and partly-digital artwork, with lots of religious symbology - and great cardstock too!
