As a minor quibble I should note that the sound projection weapons do not appear in the Dune book itself. They were basiaclly created because there was no real simple way to depict the Bene Gensserit wierding way of battle that Muad'Dib taught to his followers.
Just like Sardauker in raincoats and welders masks, and the rarity of shields simplified things, so did the use of "sound modules". Besides, every sci-fi epic needs a laser battle at the end, and having the fremen duke it out knife to knife with the Sardauker battalions would have probably been too difficult to convey to the watcher who hasn't read the book.
So, while the sound modules might be a decent concept for a game, they are not from the book, and cannot be credited to it.
